About Me

Lydia Juenger
I started in the equitation, hunter/jumper world in 1976, and then eventually moved on to combined training and dressage. After being dissatisfied in the traditional methods of training in the above venues, I began researching “Natural Horsemanship" in the early 80's, and found that this can be an adjunctive or alternative way to be with horses. The term "Natural" has been used loosely and often. The fact is, there is nothing natural in the way most horses and humans interact. However, it is a term that identifies the training techniques that make riders become more naturally cohesive with their horses. I have shared these techniques over the years to bring more peace and harmony to both horse and owner. I provide the education in proper foundation of horse and rider, and can also be called upon for individual help and consultation of horse and rider. I have well over 30 yrs. experience. I am a certified equine sports massage therapist and in myofascial release. I have also completed a certification program with Dr. Daniel Kamen on Equine Chiropractic Methods. I am presently the Equine Studies Program Director for The Blue Ridge School of Equestrian Arts (BRSEA).
